Caught in the Rain

On Tuesday as we were getting ready to go to our workshops it started to pour! It was some of the heaviest rain I have ever seen. We all huddled together under a gazebo waiting for it to stop but it never did. Finally, we all had to run through the rain, getting soaked, to go to our workshops.

A funny day in the Golden Triangle Mall

July 4th. Today was our second day in Denton City, so most of us decided to go to Golden Triangle Mall for shopping. It was an amazing day, where most of the girls seemed to be in a competition where the main rule was spend money and buy things as much as they can.

A lot of shopping cars where full of clothes and in the dressing room we could hear expressions as: "Does it suits me fine?" "Do I look pretty with this pink dress?" "I think I need to go to the gym" and then, after some hours of shopping we could see tired bodies but happy faces because of the new clothes they already had.

The next step was getting a taxi, and it took a long time because there was only one in service and a lot of people waiting for it. So my friends and I, decided to Hitched-hike to University and it was a funny experience because we were ten of us with a lot of stuff just in a small truck.

Finally we arrive to Santa Fe Square, happy of being here and laughing for this great experience at Denton City. =)

July 3rd, it has been a very hot day... we have just arrived and im so exited... later in the UNT stadium some fireworks iluminated the sky !!!

Advanced curse

Today class was interesting, however I would like to learn new words and train their use.

Denton Downtown

We had a great day! Monday was so nice. We had a lot of activities.

It was our first day of class, all of us were very excited.

We went to get the ID of UNT.

In afternoon we went to Denton downtown, as you can see is a very cute place.

Specially the Court House which is in the square which is a beautiful building.

That was built in 1896- 97, and the walls are native limestone, with a victorian style.

We visit different stores there like mini mall, recycled bookstore, and cafes like Hydrant.

We came back to UNT and we visit recreation center, we recommend this place!

After arrivel and after July 4th

Finally we are here in Texas. Our journey was quite nice and the immigration officer not so bad (a man of German origin¡).
We took a taxi approximatelly at 10 p.m. from Dallas Airport to Denton¡ The taxi driver had a small problem with the police: he entered one of the streets in the opposite direction.

It seems to be a great place. The campus is nice.
Also food is great: we expected something more industrial.
